Sadbhavna Mission in Surat

Sadbhavna Mission

13000 people fast with CM under Sadbhavna Mission in Surat

CM announces development projects worth Rs.2100 crore for Suarat

“I don’t waste time behind those who are inclined to see Gujarat with negative mentality”

“People of Gujarat will answer the anti-Gujarat elements in a democratic way” ~ Shri Narendra Modi

***********

Concluding his daylong fast at Surat today as a part of Sadbhavna Mission Chief Minister Narendra Modi said that people of Gujarat has a power to answer the anti-Gujarat elements in a democratic way. Their answer is manifested through their support to the Sadbhavna Mission.

Citizens of Surat including the women, youths, society leaders, industrialists, saints, social workers and office bearers of various organizations thronged the venue conveying their support and well wishes to the Chief Minister and his mission.

Welcoming the large turnout Chief Minister announced development projects worth Rs.2100 crore for Suarat including the projects for BRTS and the construction of new bridges. The people and different organizations of Surat gave an amount of Rs.30 lakh as a donation to the Chief Minister’s Kanya Kelavani Nidhi.

Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister said that people of Gujarat will not tolerate the defamation drive that has been launched by the anti-Gujarat elements. These elements have gone a long way and are even misusing constitutional organizations to defame Gujarat. Gujarat never troubles anybody but it also knows how to give a tough answer when it is being troubled by somebody.

The huge support of the people to the Sadbhavana mission is an answer to those who device plots to tarnish the image of Gujarat. Gujarat has left behind the venoms of communalism and casteism and has adhered to the values of peace, unity and harmony. Political pandits should analyze why people are voluntarily supporting the Sadbhavna fast and the growth polity of Gujarat, he said.

Mr. Modi said that people have not seen the instances of riots and curfews during the last decade. The reason behind this is the atmosphere of peace, unity and harmony that is prevailing in the state.

“People who play vote-bank politics can not realize the power of Sadbhavna Mission, because they don’t want real development. I don’t waste time behind those who are inclined to see Gujarat with negative mentality. I want to put India on the track of Sadbhavna”, he said.

Tribal development Minister Mangubhai Patel, Panchayat Minister Narottam Patel, Minister of State for Cottage industries Ranjit Gilitwala, Minister of State for Home Praful Patel, Mayor Rajubhai Desai, MP C R Patil, Darshnaben Jardosh, MLAs Kishorbhai Vankavala, Nanubhai Vanani, Kiritbhai Patel, Bhartiben Rathod, Municipal Commissioner M K Das, government officials and people in large number were present on the occasion.

Pakistan to Kutch, Morari Bapu

Shri Narendra Modi asks Centre to check the surplus water from dam on the Indus River in Pakistan to Kutch, and revive Saraswati

(by Bharat Vikas Sena- Narendra Modi For PM)

Ahmedabad, Friday: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today urged the Union Government to check the water flowing down the dam across Indus River in Pakistan to Rann of Kutch and divert the same surplus water into the landmass in the semi-arid Kutch region.

Inaugurating a three-day international Sindhi conference in Ahmedabad, he said that at present the subsurface water from the river go waste into the sea. It is also an occasion to revive the extinct Saraswati River which used to flow through Gujarat 400 years ago.

The Chief Minister said that 5,000-year-old Indus Valley Civilization remains show the how developed it was in town planning, culture, vast playgrounds and merchandise. He said that excavations at Lothal showed that the period was rich in maritime trade too.

Paying his tributes to the people responsible for a flourishing civilization five thousands ago, Mr. Modi fervently called upon particularly the new generation to keep alive the civilization. There is no place for complacency. A nation which neglects its history cannot build a new nation.

The Chief Minister recalled his old association with Sindhi families as he praised the Sindhi community for maintaining their culture, family bond, mother tongue, dress and food habits. He had a word of praise for the Sindhi food festival on the occasion.

Sindhi Council of India President Amar Doltani welcomed the guests and spoke on the rich Sindhi culture. Noted industrialist Shrichand Hinduja delivered the keynote address on the enterprising spirit, business acumen and the capacity to work hard of the Sindhi people.

Morari Bapu praises Dadhiwala over Paghdiwala

On concluding day of his Ram katha in Virpur, Shri Morari Bapu in presence of over 1.5 lakh people praised Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi without naming him. Bapu also passed a remark on Prime Minister Shri Manmohan Singh, again, without naming him.

Shri Morari Bapu said “China is advancing in the land of Kailash Mansarovar, but what Paghdiwala(turbanwala means Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who wears turban) didn’t dare to speak, dadhiwala(a beard man means Narendra Modi) dared to speak out. He went to China and told the Chinese leaders the truth. Bravery is not needed to say truth. Bravery automatically comes with the truth.”
